I think this a far better solution.  Let folks spend the money and jobs will be created and the economy will rebound quickly.

The problem with that approach is two-fold:

1 - it does not satisfy the objectives of the democrats, which is to make as many folks as possible dependant on the government. that increases their power.

2 - the US government does not have the guts to do that because it would place the US on a rocket to unbridled economic performance and that is not what the elite sipping their cocktails in Davos at the moment want. they want the US in the same sorry shape they are currently in.

Well your 1. is about as special ed an answer as I have ever read.

Such an answer seems to represent the critical thinking of a spent diaper.

About on par with saying the rights goal is to reinstate slavery.

Here is what i see.

They want to put the US taxpayers $ 820 more in debt.

Then the will claim they need to raise taxes to pay off this debt.

When they get the tax payer money to pay off this debt they will move it to other programs and never use it to pay the debt.

A year later they will want more money to pay off this debt.
When they get this money they will move it to other programs and never use it to pay off this debt.

And the next year they will, you can guess the rest of the story.

This scam being run on us is as big as the global warming scam and is connected to the global warming scam.

All this is a scam to take control of the US.

This will never be OVER.

As soon as it looks like its over they will set up another scam like it to do the same thing.

The only way to stop it is to kick the politician that are pulling this out of office and vote in a new political party in that is not connected to either party now in office.

Right now some of us are trying to set up a veteran's party to counter the democrats and republicans.

Isn't giving poor unemployed people, money from other peoples taxes
*gasp* socialism?

Absolutely it is and if we were to give everyone $75,000 it would be socialism. Ben Stein was working the numbers to show what could be done with the money instead of throwing it down a black hole with no oversight. He wasn't suggesting that we actually give the money to everyone.

My point is that if we are going to throw money away in the non-stimulus stimulus package, then we should just go ahead and give $75,000 to everyone since we'd all do a better job with it then the lunkheads who are actually receiving it.
