I will update this with more translation from articles as soon as I get the time:

17th of January, around 8 pm, a very bright light was visible in southern Sweden, in the sky.

Most people report it as blueish, some as greenish.

The emergency phone numbers were overwhelmed by people phoning in and reporting it.

It was a very bright light in the sky, with a tail of fire ( suggesting a meteor or likewise ) and it was visible for hundreds of people, even those inside their houses.

Weather services says that nothing from their information of weather conditions can explain it, and astronomer Peter Wintoft of the university of Lund, Sweden, says that it sounds by the descritptions as a meteor, or meteorit, but that the magnitude of light is very rare.

Nothing could be found on the ground, suggesting an impact.

I havent read anything about how long this light lasted, but as stated, I'll update soon.
