Greenland Ice Sheet - Melting Only Temporary

We have seen all of the data coming in over the past few years ont he accelleration of the artic ice melt including the Greenland Ice Sheet and the danger to the Greenland sheet as water gets under it and lubricates it.

Now the worl governments have started a propaganda war to ease the fears of the population by getting a group of scientists to declare it's only temporary.

So is this good science or just big brother not wanting house values in Florida and Cali.

It seems that the scientists had tested three computer models.

Researchers in Britain and the United States devised computer models to test three scenarios that could account for rapid -- by the standards applied to glaciers -- loss of mass from the Helheim Glacier, one of Greenland's largest.

And the first two,

Two were based on changes caused directly by global warming: an increase in the amount of water that greases the underbelly of the glacier as it slides toward the sea, and a general thinning due to melting.

And the third one,

By contrast, the third computer model -- which hypothesised that melt-off was triggered by changing conditions in the confined area where the glacier meets the sea -- fit like a glove, he said.

And I cant understand why this is not considered as a part of global warming, the effect is clear at the places where the glaciers/ice meet the warm sea water and this melts the ice and the sea moves inward.

I like the assuption they will settle into a stable state. This has not occured along the Alaskan coast and the glaciers in Glacier National Park jsut melted also without attaining a stable state.

Sounds like Voodoo Economics but we could call it Voodoo Warming. Yes it will get warmer but that's ok nothing will melt faster in our warmer world.
