US should give a state to Israel: Erbakan

Former Turkish Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan has strongly condemned the US for its support of the Israeli war against the Palestinians.

Erbakan said that if the US wants to support Israel, it should give one of its states to the Israeli regime, the Fars News Agency reported on Tuesday.

He made the remarks in a speech delivered via video link to people who had staged a demonstration in Ankara to protest the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip.

Erbakan stated that the imperialists want to obliterate Turkey through implementation of the Greater Middle East Initiative, which has already brought them to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Erbakan was Turkey's prime minister from 1996 to 1997.

He's got it the wrong way around. He probably means that Israel should give the USA back one of its own states...

Hmm. Thanks but no thanks. I think that since Mr Erbakan is prominent Turkish politician and certainly has influence in Turkey, he should use it to give a state to Palestinian regime?, that he supports. In Turkey.

Why should the USA give israel a state!! I agree with zero knowledge, Turkey is a big place. Gaza has around 1.3 million people there, surely he can make room in his own country.

Or is that just moving the problem, and not actually sorting it out?

The Palestinians could walk right in and takeover Somalia.

With 1.3 million people and there large number of trained fighters it would be a cake walk for them.

The Somali government can not even stop a few pirates how would they stop the Palestinians.

I bet Iran and some of the other countries that have ship taken by the pirates would pay them to take out the pirates and take over.

Also I said they had a population of 1.3 million, not 1.3 million trained fighters. Included in that figure are children and women.

Also I dont know if they have national service in Palestine so I cant say if all the men are trained fighters.

I need someone that might actually be able to answer truthfully, what is it about Israel or the people that consider themselves Jewish that make them seem like they feel that they are entitled to their own state, or unworthy to live in harmony with the rest the general population, this is what has me confused?

I also read that supposedly in Europe, predating the established current state, that the customs and lifestyles of Jewish people is a reason why they wanted a separate state, is this true? I only ask these questions because I do not know any Jewish people or have knowledge directly from their own offered reasons, this would also assist in others understanding where the feelings of either superiority or priviledge might come from and do they see that others perceive this sort of image of entitlement as somewhat problematic? I know that the Vatican is it's own country so is there any similiarity in the reason for exclusivity or separation?

Is it that others outside their religion are not equal or is it that they feel that the customs involving the culture and religion are too different as to possibly alienate those not of the faith?

The trouble with finding a New Israel is where can one find a land free of natives so nobody is offended. You either go down the route of USA and Australia and to all intents and purposes eliminate the locals so there's no comeback, or go down the route of post settler states like South Africa and Zimbabwe and accept it's game over.
A land where no native peoples will be offended? Desolate area of Greenland? May become more attractive due to global warming. Most US states are fairly populated so I think the locals may be a little peeved. What about that Russian Jewish state set up by Stalin? Is it still available?
There is little doubt that Israel is never going to live in peace as a settler state without doing a USA or Australia and wiping out the locals, so perhaps relocating to New Israel (wherever that may be) is the best option for survival in an age where nukes will be used in conflicts.

New York state is perfect as mentioned before. Many New Yorkers have Israeli family, hold dual Israeli passports and do military service in Israel.

The benefits for Israelis are;

They will be a lot closer to the US tax payer's wallets, New York state is beautiful and green, there are no olive groves so they will not have the problem of uprooting them, they will be safe from Hamas rockets,

The benefit to the US tax payers are;

The US will not have to send billions of dollars in arms abroad for free; big savings, Americans can love-up the Israelis up close and personal, the US can begin to secure its interests abroad without the interference of the Israel lobby, Evangelicals can do voluntary service cleaning house for the new immigrants and other hearted warming activities.

But what about the natives? How are the New Yorkers going to feel with the Israelis moving in all at once? Never been to New York but the Israelis aren't going to have it their own way there are they? What present Israel has in the Middle East is the power to do things and operate independently of other religions. Unless a Israeli majority state is located on land somewhere, then I can't see Israelis going to agree with this, they will lose their independence.
I was thinking about the Scottish Islands. There was serious consideration about giving some of them to Hong Kong people who didn't want to live in China post independence. The Scottish Islands may just be the answer. Especially the ones that have suffered from terminal emigration.

This is rather complicated thing. Current state of Israel is a result of mix of 1 ancient history,2 religious/messianic traditions,3 general (bilateral) lack of tolerance worldwide and 4 modern socialistic/ imperialistic movements.
1: There was an ancient state of Israel/Judea with its own religion and its own moral system and prophetic tradition. After Independence was finally lost to Romans and Jewish population shrunk with time due to conflicts with new rulers or simply immigration the physical connection with the land was basically almost lost. But
2: In prophecies and other religious texts/prayers there was constant reminder that Jews from all over the world will come back and then Messiah will come too. So mental/ritual connection with the area was always present. Of course since it was interlocked with religion any Jew that was not involved in a religious Jewish community due to different reasons lost this shaky connection too. But it not very wide spread since
3: People everywhere pretty much helped to remind that Jew is different and so there were special laws concerning Jews - what they can own or not, what jobs they can hold and what not,where they can live or not. This was also "strengthened" by Jewish religious leaders that continuously tried to keep community foreign to its even previously unwelcoming surroundings. So instead of complete assimilation as normally should happen Jewish nation did survive through centuries of living among different dominant nations despite the winds and storms of history. Then as Europe entered new age with shifts to liberty for all and equality for all movements, mass assimilation of Jews began. A lot of Jews left closed communities for life of equal among other nations with hopes that the constant friction would also stop. Since values noted above were at the time
4: on the flag of socialistic movements of all kinds those Jews joined them in mass. However with time it became apparent that frictions with certain circles are not that fast to go away (Dreyfus example or riots in Russia) and the same people who were for assimilation (and assimilated by them self) started to think that solution for constant persecutions is not assimilation of what they called "old Jews" into foreign modern societies but creation of "modern Jew" in his own land. This movement took the name Zionism. And it did not look for home specifically in land of Israel. I am pretty sure that if a politician like Erbakan appeared then and suggested one of US states - it would be discussed just as Uganda was discussed as a possible new home for "new Jew". So religious passive tradition for coming back when God would allow,as a part of Messiah process, was turned to active by inner enemies of Judaism. Majority of religious leaders were against "new Jew" and Israel return idea at the time. After all according to religious tradition loss of land of Israel was a punishment from God and return to Israel should be in certain order after God would finally allow it.

Just want to note that to me it does not matter how , i live here and it is my country and suggestions such as one in the title of a thread are ridiculous.

I've got the perfect place for the Zionist nation of Israel (And, no, it's not in hell). But we've got to find a place where no one lives; no one that would need to be ethnically cleansed off the land. A place where they can be "God's chosen people" all by themselves without outside interference meddling into their affairs. A place where they can expand their boundries without reprise/ And that place is............ The South Pole! Let's pack 'em all up and send there as quickly as we can.
