With tons of info on 2012, there are those that say our calender is 4 years out of date meaning its not 2008 but 2012. If that is true dose that mean tomorrow everything is going to change fore ever. Or is it just a case that we don't really know what the true date is therefore we will never be able to accurately predict the 2012 date.

The calendar is a "invented" time keeping device. Who or what decided when to start it at zero? For all I know we could be in the year 508,756.
