Christmas Miracle

On December 12th 2008 the Share International sent out a press release regarding something they call a Christmas Miracle, a bright star that will shine night and day to tell the world that Maitreya the Anti Christ is appearing:

For over 30 years, artist, author and lecturer Benjamin Creme has been preparing the way for the emergence of Maitreya and his group, the Masters of Wisdom. In May 1982, Creme revealed at a packed press conference in Los Angeles that Maitreya had been living in the Asian community of London since July 19, 1977.

Awaited by all faiths under different names, Maitreya is the Christ to Christians, the Imam Mahdi to Muslims, Krishna to Hindus, the Messiah to Jews, and Maitreya Buddha to Buddhists. He is the World Teacher for all, religious or not, an educator in the broadest sense.

If this is true, then be aware! This is not Jesus Christ!!

I wouldn't worry myself if I were you. This seems to be another in a long line of the "all you need is love" proclaimed messiahs.

Maitreya is a name given to important spiritual figures in many regions of the world, most notably in Buddhism; this new group seems to have simply nabbed the title to apply it to a new age ideal. There is no reason to believe that this new figure is anything other than a character in a crafted story.

Maitreya appeared out of thin air in front of 6,000 Kenyans on June 11, 1988. Reporters coverd this story and pictures were taken.

Maitreya's remarkably accurate forecasts from 1988 - 1993 included many events that not only happened soon after the press releases came out, but they went against what expected by most people.
Some examples:
- Release of Nelson Mandela after 29 years
- Re-unification of East & West Germany
- Fall of Margaret Thatcher from power
- A world stock crash that would begin in Japan: within a few years the Nikkei average plummeted many thousands of points....and the rest? Well, I don't think I need to tell anyone that our current rotting economic system of greed and speculation is crumbling fast.

Why these forecasts?
