War with Russia inevitable says former Brezhnev advisor.

As fears grow regarding Russia’s growing militancy and seemingly anti-western posturing after Russian President Dmitry Medvedev announced that he will deploy a short-range missile system on the doorstep of the EU in the enclave of Kalingrad, a prominent Jewish Refusenik has stated that the US will be at war with Russia within five years.

Russia is a very advanced society technology wise and there seems to be very little chance of a war with US. The missile shield in Poland is aimed at Russia and not at Iran or any other threat from Middle East. US is responsible for escalating tensions in the area as the cold war is over and there was no threat from Russia, which still we must admit deserves the superpower tag !

It will never happen. At least not nuclear. MAD, as always, is the deterrent. A ground war? Perhaps.

Anyway, the nuclear threat of Russia pales in comparison to the the threat of Korea, or a "middle eastern" "terrorist" dirty-bomb. In either case, we would not retaliate with nuclear force, due not to MAD, but potential collateral damage to surrounding countries.

You are going to get torn apart by people on this forum who are knowledgeable on the state of things in Russia. Not to mention to mention the Grammar Nazis.

Ill even attempt myself. Below is a quote form the linked article that implies Russia will be the instigator of conflict:

Russia is feeling increasingly isolated and desires to re-assert her influence and direct political control over the New EU member states of Eastern Europe, not to mention the various breakaway states that once were part of the USSR.

And what is that terrible website anyway? Ive seen it linked twice here already. Everything about it doesn't exactly scream credibility.

Good call on the knowledgable ones... Here I am. Lets start with the fact that out of no where Russia begins to start a military build up. Now as far as you know Russia is innocent? WRONG.... They have been antagonizing our naval fleets and other sovern nations accross the world with their bombers. Just search for it. During the cold war Russia kept bombers in the air 24/7 with nuclear payloads. Guess how many times they have incercepted Russian bombers in the last 2 years flying the same path they did during the cold war. Search the term "russian bomber intercepted" you will love what you find. Then search images and look at the photos our pilots have been taking while escorting them. Then search for the black jack bombers that flew within 20 miles of englands coast. We have no need in pointing ground missles at russia. The systems deployed are anti missle systems. Though not the best they work pretty good. I am by no means stating we are innocent but by no means are they innocent at all. Do your research or don't post matters in a factual way when you don't know the facts. And for those who feel safe because of the MAD theory, you are wrong. The countries can and probably at the rate we are going will exchange nuclear warheads. Trust me though when I tell you that we have a surprise in store for their war heads. By the way why don't you do some research on the who Russian monies in the North Korean economy, you might see some things that are kinda scary. North Korea is more of a hot spot then most will know for a bit. If you start researching it all then you find all of the parallels between Russia, Iran, Syria, China, and North Korea. Wouldn't that make a great new Axis of Power?

Whoa whoa whoa! Breathe! Take a breath! Wall of text! tl;dr! (just kidding, I read it)

Okay, now that you can breathe again, I want to ask you two things: "Are you mad (as in insane)? Did you read into what I said, or did you purposefully misinterpret it, as an excuse to go off on some sort of silly and pointless rant about the might/innocence of the US?"

I don't even know where to begin. I am truly at a loss for words. NOWHERE did I directly state that the Russia is greater or less innocent than the US, or vice versa. In fact, I implied that this "sunny_2008ny" character is a misguided individual on his opinion of Russia, hence my comment that those with knowledge of Russia's current state will tear him apart. In other words, Russia is in a less than desirable state of affairs, and has been for quite some time. That means that you and I agree. And if you and I agree, it means that you have absolutely no reading comprehension skills whatsoever, and this reply to you will probably be in vain.

"Russia is a very advanced society technology wise"? I don't think so. I don't know much about them, and I'm sure those with the knowledge can explain in detail. We agree yet again.

Two, I stated outright North Korea is the more likely hot spot, yet, yet again, you fail to see that. Surprise! Agreement!

Do you even have eyes?
