Ok so I don't know what significance this has if any but just about any way you add it up 12.21.12 factors back to 3
For starters.. each of the number combo's on their own add to 3 but if you add them in any form their always factor back to 3
1+2=3 2+1=3 1+2=3
3+3=3=9 9 is only divisible by 3 and the result is 3
12+21+12=45 4+5=9 and again 9 factors to 3.
1+2+2+1+1+2=9.... factors to 3

Any way you slice it you always end up with the prime number 3.

What significance does this have? Is it a coincidence that religions also put such a strong emphasis on this number also?

Thoughts?

Take any date, add the numbers in any possible way and you'll always end up with the same number, so yeah, it pretty much is a coincidence. In case of 12/21/12, the numbers add up to 9, but take 03/27/15 for instance (just a random date I chose), in this case everything adds up to 9 as well.
