French President Nicolas Sarkozy is very critical of U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama's positions on Iran, according to reports that have reached Israel's government.

www.haaretz.com...

I agree with the President of France. I think Sen Obama woud be a disaster in dealing with the Iranians or North Korea.

Talking without preconditions does not mean both parties will start kissing eachother and hold hands. It just means talking starts and it can still fail miserably. So only wanting to talk when certain conditions are met is the childish method. Like being a kid that will only start breathing again when it gets that candy. Pre-teen behaviour. Talking should never stop because it is the only way to a peacefull solution. Preconditioning talking only has as a goal to prohibit the peaceful solution. Obama is correct to talk. And if talkng doesn't help he can always switch to the military option and bomb it to dust.

Join the club, Sarko. First time in an awfully long time that I would be in agreement with a French president. Indeed, its a sign that the apocalypse is certainly upon us

It's not wholly astonishing to find this story on that website, though, is it?

"According to reports that have reached Israel's government". I suspect this story would be more accurate if we simply removed the words "reports that have reached".

I'd be surprised if any current world leader gave a flying fig about what Obama says his position is now, on the basis that very few people running for any senior political office ever say much of value about their policy or position on anything...

This info is from Israel!

Now, who do you think Israel would rather have as president of the US?

McCain, the "bomb bomb bomb Iran" McCain.

Or Obama, who is willing to talk to Iran's leaders!

Pretty simple to figure this one out!

This is Israel trying to influence our election for their own interests.

Agreed Obama may not know everything about foreign relations, but you know what? That is one of the major reasons he brought Joe Biden on to the ticket, who happens to be the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

I honestly cannot think of anyone better for the job.

This is an example of textbook right-wing hypocrisy....
Say one thing, and do another.

Say you are a "fiscal conservative"...
Then oversee the largest expansion of government EVER. (then blame the left for "big government).

Say you are the platform of "family values".....
Then partake in all types of repressed sexual behaviors.
(Blame the homosexuals)

Say the French are Socialist, weak, and anti-American...

AND WHEN IT'S CONVENIENT......

QUOTE THEM ON WHY AMERICANS SHOULD PULL FOR YOU.
