Step 1: Knowing what will happen.
Advanced computer modeling can often predict the future. The government world models are to the point of asigning personalities to small groups. This includes personalities that not only have thier own agendas but can be influenced by those around them. For those that know the game Sims, its like this but on a MUCH grander and soffisticated level.

You map out the entire planet, turning people into little rules (which is surprisingly easy to do) and let the simulation run. Such models have predicted many world events, even those that didn't make sense until the day cam and the event happened.

Here is an article from Popular science on such computer modeling and its power.

Step 2: Controlling what will happen.
Given these great models as tools, once can play around with small changes and see some drastic effects. Once one knows how to make drastic changes with very subtle changes in the present, one has a lot of power. So with a few simple changes, a new policy here, and new trade agreement there, the whole future starts to shift.

Need to create a sense of fear in the United States? Why create an elaborate conspiracy of making it look like terrorist attacked us when with a few simple moves you could get the same thing and no one would ever know? Just stop funding a few people here, give a few more rockets to israel there, and there you go, now the model changes and the terrorist turn thier sights on the US rather than its assests world wide.

Am I saying that 9-11 was done this way? No. This is just an example though of what could be done with good modeling.

Step 3: Seeing it through.
Now that you have thing going the way you want feed in any new data to your model and see how things work out. Make sure reality keeps on track with the model. Nothing is perfect, and if thing aren't working out the way the model predicted, try again. Eventualy you'll get it to work.

Final Thoughts
Just a few finaly thoughts...

The best way to control the future and everyone in it is to make that future.

In terms of making the general public ignore conspiracy theorist, all you need to do is have a good social model and inject a few little things here and there, a good alien joke or a nice mix of skeptics and theorist can work wonders nation wide.

No, but like the world model, we could predict what may happen, and where, how long, how much etc.

it just seems like its very hard to predict nature if that wasnt so then we wouldnt have so many people die in freak hurricanes an tornadoes, typhoons, so forth. i mean we can only predict to a point where out facts allow, any further would be assumption?

what the guy was talking about is changing the future of
humanity not changing nature and besides cataclisums don't change political ground and peoples's wote (unless the hurricane kills all of your woters)
