Police battle police in Sao Paulo

Riot police in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo have clashed with other police officers who are on strike.

The striking officers are from the branch of the state police responsible for detective work and criminal investigations, while those trying to hold the demonstrators back are from the military police, whose role is broadly to maintain law and order on the streets.

And now they are fighting each other.

So it seems Feds will use the same force on any protester regardless of their role in civil society.

Good to know, that on some levels, we are all equal ...

I wonder how these civil police will view or react to protesters that they are called in to deal with in the future.

Could this be a blessing in disguise for the people of Sao Paulo?

I think the LINE in the new Batman film says it best, as quoted from the Joker. It's not an exact quote...

"You take away Law, Society, and Comfort, and people will turn on each other like animals."

The law of the fittest, only the strong will survive. The Joker Claimed he was just ahead of the curve.

That line struck me as particularly profound. He was absolutely right.
