Some US Military officers are hinting that a new war could be looming in the very near future. Not surprising news, but the fact that the next war could be in Pakistan could come a bit more unexpected. We have been conducting strikes and probably other operations without the consent of the Pakistani government or own congress. This is getting really ridiculous, and the Pakistani people won't stand up for it much longer, and neither should we. These things are being done in our name.

To a lot of people this won't be unexpected. I and many others have been saying this for quite some time now, based on statements from a number of key policy makers.

The link points to a blog/article written by an individual that seeks to sell a book in the same article...Sorry, that destroys the credibility.....

Good!

I'm glad these attacks are taking place. We know that terrorist groups are taking refuge in that country and since that country is not doing anything substantial or effective to stop that safe haven why should we not attack them where they are?

It is not being done in your name. No one knows your name, and guess what no one cares either.

Oh and by the way these are groups crossing into Afghanistan and attacking American soldiers and our allies. These are not people sitting in Pakistan minding their own business.

In the end politics has never really solved anything. The Russians just took a break and the cold war is back.

To allow an enemy to take refuge in an area because of an imaginary line is buffoonery at its best. By taking the war to your enemy you deny them the chance to take the war to you.

In WW2 we won because we acted and took the war to those who would destroy us, we did not ask for permission to attack our enemies.

In Vietnam we won militarily, the Tet offensive broke the Vietcong, but we ultimately lost because of politics and crybabies with their own agenda other then peace, which was just the moral cover to rally the sheep.

Politics is for those who want to feel moral superiority without actual results.

I have said for quite some time that if Musharraf goes, it's only a matter of time before we invade Pakistan. They are a nuclear power that does not like America very much at all, if you look at the consensus of their populace.

Furthermore, we will need their coastal areas as a supply staging area to attack Iran.

Not really possible considering most on here dont think the US can even conduct a minor operation anywhere due to trops being stretched. So my guess, is NO, this is NOT an invasion of Pakistan LOL.
