Poor Gordon, he has to keep the Labour party in coalition with the Republicans. He's totally screwed up and spread his bets with the democrats. I have no problem with Mr Brown trying lead, but he offers us no leadership at home and that is where it starts.

Could someone explain to an American why this is a shock and perhaps the implications? It sounds interesting, but I'm afraid my ignorance prevents me from truly understanding and enjoying it.
