What's up with the censorship lately?

A couple of days ago this thread was deleted:
www.abovetopsecret.com...'

From what I understood it was deleted because it's against the T&C to "recruit" ATS members. No recruiting was done afaik. Hoaxing is also against the T&C yet I never see those threads deleted, even if they are an admitted hoax.

Yesterday this thread was deleted:
www.abovetopsecret.com...'

Why? Beats me. Probably a trigger happy mod?

So my question, what is up with the inconsistent thread deletion

Maybe it would be a good idea to at least send the members participating in a thread an automated U2U when it is deleted, with a short message by the mod explaining WHY he deleted it?

I am going to say just because it's simple business.

From a hoax standpoint, them threads gets massive views. It keeps the viewers coming back. Look how easy it is, to create an account on ATS. No captcha, no e-mail validation, nothing. This in turn, gets you massive amounts of sign-ups, which could be a bot or a person creating 20 accounts.

More viewers, more advertising money, better page rank.

You do realize that the links you provided are nil, that no one knows what threads you are talking about?
