Yeah, it wont take you long to master NoScript. It's pretty straight forward mate
. It also stops some well known spyware cookies from running - like 'doubleclick' etc. Just never allow them. It wont stop the page from loading.

NoScript also blocks flash when it's running certain actionscript, like php, asp compatible stuff etc.

The tabular browsing is also a hoot. I laughed when IE stole the idea recently!

There's lots of great plugins available for firefox. I'm sure you will find the ones that suit you along the way... like 'Amazing Media Browser', 'Video Downloader', 'DownloadThemAll', 'FlashGot' 'Torrent-Search Toolbar' etc etc
