VANCOUVER — Residents and businesses in several skyscrapers in downtown Vancouver were preparing to stay in the dark until at least Tuesday night as a massive blackout continued to leave much of the city's core without power.
B.C. Hydro crews continued to repair the damage caused by a circuit fire Monday morning in a downtown underground vault.
The Crown corporation's website suggested electricity wouldn't be restored to most areas until 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
