I hate to get technical but in order to have a thenth planet we need a ninth planet since Pluto was downgraded. If Pluto is accepted as the ninth
planet then Eris must be included in the count making this discovery the eleventh planet.
Still a good find though.
Here is some more info on it.
I appears to have a similar orbit to Pluto and has a 248 year orbit (not 3600) which is elliptical but not quite elliptical enough to reach the inner
solar system…thankfully, otherwise there would be a lot of dishes of humble pie to be served up.
