Again, it’s one of the few bastions of anti-corruption, Wikileaks, that has spilled the beans on this unsavory topic. Yesterday the site revealed a document proposing a treaty that will significantly limit the privacy and rights of Internet users, to the benefit of multimillion dollar companies.

“ACTA” is basically an attempt to criminalize the Internet, thus allowing a virtual police state to occur by the selective prosecuting of crimes. In short, it’s an international treaty, or hopes to be, that will greatly increase already draconian copyright measures, in a poor attempt to appease the copyright and patent industries.

So under the pretense of copyright infringement we they ultimately use this as an even detrimental tool. Sites like ATS could be shutdown because of the FBI leak.

Apparently, it's not enough to control the MSM. Now they want to make it more difficult for us to put the pieces together. Sites like this one make it possible for us to share information and practice our freedom of speech regarding articles that we have read. Not being able to do so would ruin any credibility we might have.

More disturbing to me, however, is the use of ex parte searches. which I believe to be unconstitutional. While I don't like the idea of the cops being able to search my home or my belongings, I'm even more wary of some software company performing a search of my things. Besides that, there doesn't even have to be a reasonable suspicion for an ex parte search. Hence, we are all suspects and, therefore, subject to these ex parte searches.

Why does it seem that corporate big wigs decide what? Why can't we be like the other guys in other countries and rise up? What is stopping us, we are getting raped day after day of our freedoms, the only thing we do is come here and vent. We need to do something. I have something in mind, but, that is something that needs to be discussed in secret. U2 me if need be.

What's sad is that in a conversation I had about a month ago, I brought up the issue of internet porn and children being able to lie about their age to access it.

His reply shocked me.

He proposed having a system in which the GOVERNMENT regulates the internet and people have to get permission from the GOVERNMENT to sign up on sites (like ATS).

It's sad that the media is brainwashing us to think that the police, the government, AUTHORITY are God, and that freedom of speech and right to bear arms are terrorist weapon. You know what? Use tor. Google "tor with firefox". Configure it. Block ALL cookies except for ATS. If you retain your anonymity, they're not going to bother spending months to "break" the encryption.

But still, IT IS SAD THAT PPL ACTUALLY THINK INFOWARS IS A TERRORIST NETWORK!
