Alberta government alerted to mass death by tar sands employees. Company failed to meet basic standards on wildlife protection. Alberta government caught asleep at the wheel, massive PR blitz underway.

So pretty much, this happened because the Alberta government did not regulate the practices of the company? From the video, it seems like the government isn't do anything at all. Especially when one guy said: This is unacceptable. When he's apart of the government or the environment department, I can't remember. That is ridiculous. If he thinks it's unacceptable, why did he let it occur in the first place? Are there not enough people employed to regulate companies or is the Alberta government just not doing anything at all?
