$10.00 Gasoline ???

www2.nysun.com

Get ready for another economic shock of major proportions — a virtual doubling of prices at the gas pump to as much as $10 a gallon.

That's the message from a couple of analytical energy industry trackers, both of whom, based on the surging oil prices, see considerably more pain at the pump than most drivers realize.

$9.04 in England

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This will shake you up ... I lived over in England back in the late 90's and I thought gas (or petrol as the English call it ) was high over there back then listen to this !!!

Right now unleaded is selling for 113 pence per liter their are 4 liters to a gallon so 10 gallons = 40 liters

40 liters will cost you 1.13 x 40 = 4.52 pounds

4.52 pounds at todays conversion rate to our dollar = $9.04

The English are paying the equivalent of $9.04 a gallon right now !!!

And you think $10.00 is too much ???

This is not a fair comparison. Yes, $9.00/gallon is what an American Tourist would feel at the UK pump, but this is simply due to the low Dollar.

$9.00 per gallon is NOT what the UK worker economically FEELS he is paying.

A comparison of average wage Pound vs Dollar along with cost of living and discretionary income would have to be applied to make a fair comparison.
