Three arrested after spy base attack

Echelon System

Three men have been arrested after a group of sickle-wielding Catholics succeeded in diasbling the Waihopai Spybase in Marlborough in a daring early morning raid.

A group called Ploughshares, which includes a Dominican priest, attacked the base this morning, and deflated the dome which protects the radar dish inside, disabling the base.

The dome is used to disguise which direction the satellite dish is pointing.

3 Protestors in New Zealand have breached security around the Waihopai Spy base. The funny part is it was nearly 30 minutes before security noticed...

News is reporting that they planned to use a large truck to ram raid the security fences with a cherry picker on the back. So to expose the type of dish beneith the inflated dome.

Witnesses have reported that they started to pray in front of the deflated dome?

Can't wait to see what there explanation is going to be....

Of course security didn't notice right away. We are talking about a Billion dollar system thats guarded by guys who probably make... ohhhh $10 an hour. Its typical government...spend a million to build it, then spend ten bucks to protect it.

People would be SHOCKED at the lack of security around most major installations....you can sneak onto any military post and be standing at the door of an ammo bunker and in 99% of the bases I know...noone would have a clue your there.
