Sanctuary...What if?

What if the very people we are running from, are the very same people we are running to for protection? In the film Logans Run, anyone who bucks the system and decides to break free from oppression, runs to Sanctuary. If I were the man in charge, I would set up a fictional safe haven for the problem few to escape to. They would, on arrival, lay all of their cards on the table, to prove that they were genuine Runners, in order to secure their place in the promised land. They would then be acceptable material for either disposal or re-programming to reintergrate into the former society they came from. I am not claiming that ATS is such a " safe haven ", but is that not what we are expected to do here. It seems to me that there is no in-between, it is either there, or here. I know that there are other conspiracy sites, etc, but what if they all originate from the same source?. We are asked to take things on trust, but that is just what we are running from, all of us here. I just thought that it was worth asking the question, as I have not heared it asked before. As they say " out of the frying pan, into the fire ".

I wouldn't know about ATS being such a place or want to make a judgement call on the owners of this site, when I do not know them personally.

I do see what you are getting at. Now if I was running the big show and was aware that some people could interfere with that plan, traps would have to be established. You would need to catch those who disclose secrets, or those who have secrets or information of their own to share, and those who's ideas need to be "adjusted" to conform with the agenda. It seems an ideal avenue to use internet message boards for this purpose. Surely they've thought of this and most likely have this in place, and could even do this without the webmaster(s) consent or assistance, or knowledge of. To be fair, one must give the benefit of the doubt. If they had such a message board it would probably be a very good one!

A few other ways to sway the masses can be accomplished through television, books, clubs and support groups, or religious organizations, etc. There are ways (besides message boards) to manipulate people into getting "help" from a place they would believe is helping them, when in fact they are connected to the problem. The victim wouldn't even catch on they are being manipulated if the stage has been set, their curiosity and desperation peaked enough that they seek this help on their own. They won't be saying, "well I was pressured to do that". Or they might say "actually, they weren't asking me anything, it was me that brought the subject up ..." because a subliminal prop may have been planted to initiate a conversation by the person who doesn't want to appear as having any interest whatsoever in the nature of the problem. A simple conversation with your new friend could in reality be an interrogation or a way to start suggesting and correcting new thoughts in the victim. You know quite a bit about props and illusions, and those tactics could could be used.

Whatever is, will be; whatever is not, will not be.

Why do any of us run? Freedom, the liberty to move without restraint, the liberty to make a free choice. I guess some would say that by running, we have made ourselves prisoners anyway, what other choice do we have. If we stay in our houses, afraid to go out, we have already lost, we are trained from an early age to turn a blind eye, as we get older this brainwashing is reinforced to such an extent that we see less and less every day. If you See and Say, you are a traitor to your country and your civil liberty will be taken away, LIBERTY. Misdirection is the real power of the Magician, Watch the Skies, but don`t forget to Watch your Backs, at the same time. Smoke and Mirrors can blind and decieve, we have to keep our eyes on the Ball.

Gwen, chill a little bit. I was thinking the same thing myself, yesterday. What is ATS is really part of MI-5 & MI-6 ... but, the vision of the ATS founders and their staff is allowing us to use this site for free, and they produce a lot of gooooood stuff,and movies too.

And remember, they have to worry about the same things as we do ... in other words, they have to watch their butts, too.

They're not a vacume cleaner operation simply because you and I are not threats to anyone. If anything, the intelligence agencies probably contribute to ATS anonymously whenever they can.

Like me, you're probably sensitive, feel all the pain in the world, watch over your shoulder at what's happening in the world.

I even thought about stopping doing everything I've been doing my whole life at my next birthday, and stop carrying the weight of the world on myself -- 40 years of doing that is burdensome.

Participating at ATS has given me back some hope, because there are people to connect with. I can't ask for more than that.

I am glad that you have found something to give you some hope in life, I am sure that is one good aspect of the internet, that people can socialise in relative safety, without the dangers and expense of really being out there. There are a lot of people who have no-one to talk to, so they talk on line. I was not Targeting ATS especially, just questioning how easy it is to walk into a trap, for instance, because things are free, more people will be there. If you create a trap, you don`t put a sign above it saying TRAP, you put a sign above it saying FREE THINGS THIS WAY!
