False god..

I have a theory of a false god/prophet type individual to be coming to Earth within the next several years. While this being will have many powers unknown to most humans, he will not be what he says he is. He will have the following attributes:
-Claim that he is divine in some form and is coming to Earth to live with his people
-Will claim that all his followers need do is respect him and defend him
-Has a son who he claims is evil
-Will explain that his son killed him but he came back to life

Are there any individuals like this in the spotlight already? Politicians, religious figures, celebrities? Cult leaders?

Sounds like your trying to discribe the "antichrist". Though I see you've added in a couple of your own aspects. Personally I don't believe in a focal point of "evil" upon one man. Though I fully accept the idology of the "3rd antichrist".
