Our national security is at the point where we cannot rest for any second. We haven't had the time nor money nor man power to be lenient on anything that's going on with the world. There is the issue that we don't have enough people in the army. There is also the issue that the government is starting needless wars. Perhaps there should be countermeasures against the government by a separate civilian branch to check to see if what the government is doing is constitutional? Then we could take countermeasures against bad policy decisions that would start war. We should avoid war if we can and only go to war if we have to.

What do you think should be done about the current crisis of national security?

A seperate Cuvilian group who has over sight over the going ons of the goverment to ensure that everything is done to the word and nothing is misplaced by accident or anything corrupt going on behind the scenes.

i would support that idea, what would i have to hide?
it is a goverment for the people by the people
not a goverment that has been created by the people to control the people?

i would create a group whom the members would be selected by their influance and their moral towards the people they are also serving.

unlike the top branch (the actual goverment) the cuvilian counterpart would only have oversight of whats going on and if they see something that breaches laws or regulations that the goverment should follow they would have the authority to report and take it to the next level insuring that no wrong doing is done behind the scene.

this would not automaticaly mean Revolution and the Cuvilian group throwing out goverment, this can only be done by one authority the court and laws of the Land.

This would Ensure that all aspects of National security are looked at properly.

Army is well funded and kept to a Safe level and not over stretched,
No wars are launched that dont effect the country directly

the Cuvilian part would be perfect to ensure this.

My approach to the current situation will be 3 fold.

A Stronger Military - We must increase the size of our military by 100,000 troops. In addition, we should increase to at least four percent of our gross domestic product to defense. This kind of investment will make up for critical gaps in the modernization of our equipment, personnel and health care efforts. However, as we invest in our military, we must ensure that funds are used to address critical needs of the men and women of our Armed Forces, not political or contractor interests.

Strengthen Strategic Planning - Many of our civilian national security and foreign policy structures were created decades ago. Today we need strengthened capabilities to strategically integrate all elements of national power.

Protect The Homeland - While there has been much emphasis on protecting facilities and responding to attacks, a key priority must be prevention. Today, protecting the homeland must begin far from home. Intelligence and law enforcement efforts able to address threats before they reach our shores must be a priority for U.S. and international action. This will demand new U.S. capabilities, stronger international alliances and integration of our federal actions with international, state and local efforts.

In summation, the general idea here is to strengthen our military here at home, so we can be better prepared in case of another attack. We need to ensure that our military is fully funded and well taken care of so that they can rise to the occasion when called upon.

This seems fairly simple to me, although people sometimes think that because the world is complex that our ideas need to be as well.

Mine is simple enough for all the world to understand.

1) Remove all overseas military bases and bring the troops home aside from those on active operations until we can reasonably remove ourselves (preferably the sooner the better).

2) Enhance the Navy and increase the pay rate to all military members so that it becomes a reasonable option. Bonuses and other incentives aren't as good as base pay increases across the board.

3) End all global aid, including AIDS money to africa, Israel, etc. Cut every penny to everyone.

4) Stop covert and overt manipulation of other countries.

5) Leave people alone militarily. That being said, if someone attacks us, we pound them into submission. No nation building, no aid, we smash them and leave.

6) Bring the world something we can actually help with. Education in freedom, especially after we re-establish it for ourselves.

Also, could anyone tell me how they would manage other governments of other nations when they are being occupied? We all saw what went wrong with Iraq. We failed at occupying Iraq because Bush's strategy did not pay out. There could be a better way of occupying another nation. Perhaps we might not need to occupy another nation?

What about the enemy that we create? What do we do if we create an enemy? Do we wait and see when it will strike like we did with this one? Do we tell the public the truth about how the enemy has came to be? Do we lie about it?

What if in the future we get bad ties with Mexico and Canada and we end up having to go to war with one of them?

How do we keep our relationships secure with Europe and Russia?

What about the Middle East?

1. on occupation we work with all groups and try and find common ground. we work with them so they work with us and not against us. we keep all major parties in the loop.

2. enemies we created, extend a hand of friendship
by showing good will to them and show them the bennifits of working togther and how it would bennifit both countries and their people.

as the saying goes dont protect your self by a fence but by your friends.
