Poland's foreign minister said Friday his country has reached an agreement in principle with the United States on plans to install a missile defense system in Polish territory.

Good news because of Russian stand on Kosovo UDI will even more tighten. This will further outrage Russians to 'counterattack' USA in some other parts of world.

What I'm wondering is what are we bribing these countries with to host these systems.

Since IIRC public opinion polls in both Poland and the Czech Republic are running something like 75% to 80% against hosting the systems.

The United States has dismissed Russian concerns about the proposed long range missile defense system, saying it is intended to protect Western countries from missiles fired from Iran and would be impotent against Russia’s massive arsenal.

With what is happening in Russia, and what was pointed out about their dealings with Kosovo, and their dealings with Iran, of who this is supposed to be security against, I have a strong feeling that Russia will lash out because of this, or start arming same type defense systems in our hemisphere.
