What in the hell happened to YouTube? It's in another language now!

Where's C3-PO when you need him? I think YouTube is using the binary language of moisture evaporators now. No habla whatever language that is.:bnghd:

theres variations of the same site.

ie: au.youtube.com (australia)

theres others but i cant remember them all, theyre for different languages of the same youtube site.
next time you have this prob look at the start of the http line and see where it took you.

probably ru.youtube.com or something crazy like that (russia)

Just an offside guess I'm wondering if you are hooking into a "Nederland" version judging from the "nl" aspect. Try it without the nl tag and see what happens. If that works then perhaps rebookmarking it?

I think you're behind an anonymous proxy server where it masks your IP address and assign you a different IP address in order to protect your computer from intrusion. The assigned IP will come from another country so its harder to track you. So, if you logged in to a website which changes language preference according to IP, the site will change the language accordingly, be it chinese or mongolian.

Perhaps somebody installed and configured a proxy server in your computer, if not, call your service provider and check with them whether they installed it on their side.

Or, perhaps it may be a glitch in youtube incorrectly identifying your IP and mistake it for Netherlands.

You can check your IP location here:

www.find-ip-address.org...

If it displays a country other than yours, then you are behind a proxy server. If not, youtube has a glitch.
