What can happen if and when a state government disobeys the federal government?

Which is to fear more: your state goverment or the federal government when it comes to creating and enforcing laws?

Anything from court hearings to civil war.

You shouldn't fear either, they are supposed to protect your freedom to live, compete, and vote as an individual unless you infringe on someone else's rights to do so. You need both, but less obvious and more controversial decisions should be handled locally to allow flexibility and competition until they become more obvious.

By the way, why cant state governments have big combat weaponry such as that of the national guard with it's own state guard to protect it's ppl from the federal government?

A militia is supposed to be for the state in cases against the federal governement, against the state in cases for the ppl of the state, or against the state in cases for the federal government? Which side are militias supposed to be on anyway

The way I see it is we need to come together to create a nation of checks and balances. And it starts when state governments can legally obtain the means to declare and go to war with the federal goverment to become the new nation's capitol if and when the federal government steps out of line.

Another thing... If your state hands down some federal laws in conflict with your interests/person...would you bring a fight of some significate kind to your state government for that sh*t or to the federal government stationed there in your state or to the federal government headquarters stationed in this nation's capital?
