Bill Would Ban Swearing in Bars

www.newsday.com

"We're dealing with adults here once again and I don't think it's the city's job or the government's job to determine what we can and cannot play in our restaurant," Rousseau said.

The proposal would ban indecent, profane or obscene language, songs, entertainment and literature at bars.

Big Brother to the rescue of some people who were offended in a bar by people having a good time!

This is totally ridiculous! It's a BAR for crying out loud! This is where "ADULTS" go to unwind and have fun.

But now these officials want to "outlaw" profanity, songs with profanity in it, people dancing on the bar and drinking contests in bars.

A St. Louis-area town is considering a bill that would ban swearing in bars, along with table-dancing, drinking contests and profane music.

Come on now, it's a BAR!! Nobody is getting hurt, everybody is SUPPOSE to be an adult in a bar. If things get a little too rowdy, the bar can always call for the police to remove patrons that are getting too "rowdy".

There definitely doesn't have to be a law (or ordinance) against these sort of things in a bar. If you don't like what is going on in one bar, go to a different bar!

OK, everybody just sit on your barstools and be good now, and please raise your hand if you have to go to the bathroom. (SARCASM)

Next thing you know you won't be able to drink in a bar!
