Spaceship close by SHGb02+14a signal

Topic started on 18-12-2007 @ 01:21 PM by Dan5647

When researching about the SHGb02+14a signal event, I looked for the exact location (RA 2 Hours, DEC 14 Degrees) of the source in Google Sky to see if anything was there. No surprise, nothing was there. But, I scrolled up NE a few light years and found this:

It looks like an X-wing on a grand scale. Could be an Extra Terrestrial mothership?

Could this be the source of the SHGb02+14a signal?

I don't see what you're seeing. An X-Wing like shape? Hmm. The pattern of the yellow lights does look like something. Its too bad we can't get a clearer picture.

BTW, do you have coordinates we can enter in Google Earth?

That looks like a very good find. Do you have more information on the signal? I know nothing about it.

Dec 14'08'09.00" RA 2h00m05.00s

if that don't work,

Lat: 14.1385°, Long -149.981°

Zoom in to get a better picture.

From Wikipedia

Radio source SHGb02+14a is a source and a candidate in the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI), discovered on March 2003 by SETI@home and announced in New Scientist on September 1, 2004.[1]

The source was observed three times at a frequency of about 1420 MHz,[2] which is expected to be a frequency used by extraterrestrials due to its proximity to one of the main frequencies at which hydrogen absorbs and radiates photons.

The more I look at it, it looks like a satellite, viewed from an angle. Although it may be an extraterrestrial satellite. It's interesting from the wikipedia entry that we appear to know what frequency aliens use when they broadcast messages to us.
