Splice is an upcoming movie that currently went into production as of Fall 2007. In short the plot is of Geneticists engineering of a new animal species. Secretly, the genetics added human genetics to the experiment. Thus forming an animal-human hybrid that they further claim to be a the step up the ladder for human evolution. I thought it was a surprising route to take considering the film was not on ANYBODY's radar until they got a glimpse of what it could look like. The casting of Polley and Brody along with Del Toro's name and those images are what got people talking about the movie. Why the big deal?
