i am going to buy an hd something (
) really soon...

i guess i plan to spend around $1,000...

i have heard that westinghouse makes good, cheap products (and, from my reading, it does)...

so, the questions are:

should i shoot for this or this???

i also plan on getting toshiba's HD-A30 hd dvd player...

will the monitor and/or the hdtv support 24 frames per second???

will this hd dvd player go great with my two choices???

i need help from the hd experts!!!

thanks!!!

I note one of them has 10,000 hrs longer lamp life.

One thing you can do is go to a site like epinions.com and see if they have user feedback.

Best thing, if you've got it narrowed down to those two is to compare the fine details and specs. That's how I found the lamp life stat.

However remember, in any component system, you want to spend more of the money for the LCD or monitor than other parts (to protect your vision, for one thing). So I tend to buy one or two particular brands, and not just the cheapest.
