NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- An oil pipeline near the Iraqi city of Beiji was hit by a bomb early Tuesday, resulting in large quantities of crude oil spilling into the Tigris river, the Associated Press reported. Beiji, which is 155 miles north of Baghdad, is home to Iraq's largest oil refinery. Later in the day, the oil spill reached the city of Tikrit, which is over 60 miles south of Beiji, the AP said. Crude oil recently traded in record territory, gaining 89 cents to $81.46 a barrel, just off a fresh high of $81.80

Looks like oil is gonna pop into the close. US market closes at 2:00.

Well, I was thinking more about the environment when I read that oil had laked into a river, but I guess we have different views on what is important.

I guess we do. We will have to agree to disagree on this one.
