Senior American intelligence and defence officials believe that President George W Bush and his inner circle are taking steps to place America on the path to war with Iran, The Sunday Telegraph has learnt.

Pentagon planners have developed a list of up to 2,000 bombing targets in Iran, amid growing fears among serving officers that diplomatic efforts to slow Iran's nuclear weapons programme are doomed to fail.

Bush and Cheney are the schitzophrenic deadly duo. I thought Bush's speech implied he was going to pull out troops. Then again when you're a schitzo, you say one thing and do another.
I am sure the preparations are keeping those two up at night. They're salivating over WWIII and the more dead the better.

The "report," quoted by the OP refers to comments made by "Pentagon and CIA officers," as sources. Does anyone in their right mind (which admittedly excludes many TRUTHERS) really believe that high level DOD and Intelligence officials would speak to internet rags like NWO Report? Seriously, a little common sense is in order here.

That said, there is no question that the Pentagon has drawn up a list of targets within Iran. If they had not done so, given the tenuousness of the situation, they would be derelict in their duties.

Nothing to see here people.

Often I wonder why this issue isn't discussed more since the naval presence has been there for what seems like forever.
It is such a sham and a shame.

It can only lead to a regional war if not WWIII.

Excuse me, it's Iran's that's asking for it.
1. Sponsoring and harboring terrorists in Iraq.
2. All that threats about Israel & wiping out western civilization.
3. Defiance on UN nuclear treaty.

yea,but you have to remember... they have every right to do that. for some reason america feels it has to police the planet,if we put this much energy and money into out own U.S. we could have ended the homeless problem and created a ton of job's.

but... you know us americans....

This is not really news and this has not happend overnight. They have already had 2 rounds of sanctions with a very lengthy time between the last set and the 3rd set if there are to be more. Iran has also been warned way back when that if they didnt fully come clean then the military option was available.

Anyone who thinks this has just sprung out of nowhere obviously has not been keeping up with this situation that has been going on for sometime. the Iranians have had PLENTY of warning.
