This resembles something worse then a bad joke there is no way Nifong should get off scot free like he is. Nifong hasn't even been hit up for the players legal bills. Nifong should have been made an example of and if the law doesn't allow it the law should be changed.

One day in jail for totally misusing the power of the State to accuse, indict, and almost bring to trial three completely innocent men?

It is a joke. He should spend a lot of time in jail IMO.

At least it looks like he'll never practice law again at least, unless some stupid official make a mockery of the justice system again by readmitting him to the bar.

Hopefully the feds will take a look at this case and cite Nifong for Civil Rights Violations, of course I doubt that will happen but there is always hope.
