(U.K.) SC Newswire: The Center for Theology & Public Issues at the University of Exeter has recently discovered that the god known as “God”, “Allah” or “Yahweh” is actually the wrong god being worshipped. This shocking and controversial news has already led to the nationwide closing of over 73,000 Episcopalian, Protestant, Presbyterian and Catholic Churches in the last 3 weeks and many more religious institutions (including Muslim mosques) are now being sold to restaurant owners, real-estate investors and home restoration specialists.

So can anyone confirm this? I havnt checked it and I dont know what the date was, if 73.000 have closed there's probably more on the way out.

Looking at that site, I would say it's a joke.

One thing is certain, every Christian denomination thinks that every other one is worshipping god wrong. Not a one of them is going to close their church doors though.

Yeah thanks I guess you are right still I will have a scoot around and see what comes to light. Just because some sites themselves are a bit of a joke and opinionated, doesn't mean its all rubbish. Blown out of proportion maybe.

Certain? I should say not! There are some that hold stronger to some doctrines while others hold to others, and sadly many non-Catholic denominations hold that Catholics are doing so, and vise-versa. However, with those exceptions, there are very few (I'm assuming they're out there, though I've never been to a church/denomination that believed other denominations are worshiping the wrong God and I try to get out to as many different churches as possible) who believe that other denominations worship a false god.

Oh, right, forgot to speak on the topic at hand. Sorry!

The website is a joke, and the premise is faulty. There have been churches separating themselves from some denominations, such as the Episcopalians, because the leadership of the denomination is going astray from the doctrine they originally signed in with, but, with the possible exception of Catholics (I'm not sure), no denomination's leadership maintains the power to close a satellite church. They can insist on non-affiliation, but cannot close their shop because their practices do not match.
