Its probably an innaccurate term, but I was thinking today (dangerours, I know, but bear with me). Planes that travel faster than the speed of sound make the sonic boom we're familiar with. Ignoring the actual logistics of getting anything past the speed of light, if we WERE to achieve it, would it create a massive flash?

I'm not sure about "photon booms" but I know there's such a thing a bow shocks around a fast moving star's heliosheath.
