NEWS LINK:

"This is an utterly new phenomenon to us, and we are still in the process of understanding the physics involved," says team member Mark Seibert of the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, California, US. "We never would have predicted a turbulent wake behind a star that glows only with ultraviolet light."

Pretty amazing discovery!

Reading that part about the fact that it could spawn planets really tings my 'forsight-bell' so to speak. I have an odd feeling that that is going to be a place that humans inhabit in the future. Kind of like a deja vous' that hasnt happend yet. o.o

Certainly unusual - and very fascinating. Thanks for posting the link.

It makes me wonder; the star itself glows only in ultraviolet light. Can one imagine the things we would see if we could see past the visible spectrum?

Good show!
