The Amazing AJ Foyt Triumphs Again

Well, in a manner of speaking.

Foyt has always been known for his "effervescent" personality and his take charge attitude.

One racer recalls Foyt exiting his vehichle in the pits to assist mechanics in effecting repairs.

This time it's Foyt and his bulldozer.

Foyt was working on the edge of the lake when the bank gave way under the bulldozer. He estimated the bulldozer dropped about 15 feet into the lake.

"It scared me," the 72-year-old Foyt said in a release early Friday from his spokeswoman, Anne Fornoro. "It was such a helpless feeling when that dirt broke away and I was going down and down."

He really needs to rethink his driving of bulldozers.

Arguably the greatest American racecar driver, it's somewhat amusing to hear about his struggles with a bulldozer. I've always loved him, I'd hate to see him hurt doing something someone just a tad younger should be doing.

He should stay away from bulldozers, if trying to deck me helps him to do that, a black eye might be worth it...all AJ.
