This is very cool. A microwave trick that takes alot less prep time is to throw some old cd's in the radar range and turn it up for some arcing and sparking.

Let's say it is best to use an old microwave, or better yet somebody elses.

WARNING:The plasmoid device shown MUST sit on top of a DRY GLASS plate!!!!

I am E-mailing the author this CRITCAL information to add to the page. Some microwave ovens have a plastic base or base plate. If you try this experiment in these ovens the results could be DEADLY.

Only attempt this if you have a GLASS base plate.
