From CNN:

• NEW: White House says its "unfortunate" panel "choose the route of confrontation"
• Senate committee demands documents related to warrantless eavesdropping
• Subpoenas sent to White House and Vice President Cheney's office
• Committee interested in White House influence on Justice Department

So....push comes to shove!

Once again, the American Government is trying to walk away from serious abuse of power.

How long will they be able to do this?

I think anyone with the amount of power that is "The White House", should prove to it's people that it can be trusted and is fit to speak for the people, not eavesdrop on them in secret.

All in the name of "Anti Terrorism".

How would you feel if you knew you had been "phonetapped"?

I think this is down right wrong, we are being treated like a terrorist in our own country and by our own people it looks like it is "guilty until proven innocent!
