The Nimitz group will join the USS John C, Stennis Strike group in the US 5th Fleet area, which covers the Arabian Gulf, the Red Sea, the Gulf of Oman and parts of the Indian Ocean. The Eisenhower strike group has passed through the Suez Canal with nearly 6,000 sailors and an air wing aboard its vessels."
