1931 February 1
Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin is born to parents Nikolai and Klavdia in the village of Butka in the Sverdlovsk Region, an industrial center in the Ural Mountain region of Russia.
1956 Marries Naina Iosifovna Girina. They have two daughters, Yelena (born in 1957) and Tatyana (1959).


1976 Appointed first secretary of the Sverdlovsk District Central Committee, a position similar to governor in the United States. His performance earns him praise as an enthusiastic reformer

It was a heart failure - drank too much in his life...

There wasn't really much good that he had done in his life... many ppl don't like him here in Russia.

Lenta.ru quotes that today Vladimir Putin announced the 25th of April a national mourning day in memory of Yeltsin.

Medical disclosure seems to be heart failure. No conspiracy forming around that

It's a surprise he lived so long. I think Yeltsin hasn't drnk anything but vodka throughout his presidency.

The funeral is also to be held on the 25th.
