With all of the posts I've seen about terrorists attacking tonight, I thought I'd share a few quotes from some of the world's more devious minds.
Most of you, I'm sure, have read them all before, but I figured it might not hurt to remember a few things in hopes that the past is not repeated.
"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword.
It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind.
And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing
the rights of the citizenry.
Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader
and gladly so.
How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar." - Julius Caesar
"This present window of opportunity, during which a truly peaceful and interdependent world order might be built, will not be open for too long - We
are on the verge of a global transformation.
All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order." - David
Rockefeller Sept. 23, 1994
"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful!
This is especially true if
they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all
peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown.
When presented with this scenario,
individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government."
Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991
"The truth of the matter is that you do have those standby provisions, and the statutory emergency plans are there
whereby you could, in the name
of stopping terrorism, apprehend, invoke the military, and arrest Americans and hold them in detention camps."
-- U.S. Representative Henry Gonzalez, August 29, 1994
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all,
IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy,
or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the
leaders. That is easy.
All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing
the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."
Hermann Goering, President of the Reichstag, Nazi Party, and Luftwaffe Commander in Chief
and one last thought on a more uplifting note:
We are not humans on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey.
--Stephen Covey
