So that's what it was intended as.. Hm!

Some free advertising for this spc effects artist's cryptozoological skills, I would say.

Fairy fool sparks huge response

Thousands of people looked at pictures of the Firestone Fairy
Photographs of a mummified fairy supposedly found in Derbyshire have been revealed as an April Fool's prank.

Former Derbyshire resident Dan Baines, 31, who designs illusions for magicians, made the fairy as a prank.

Please visit the link provided for the complete story.

Originally debunked as a hoax here.

Garbage like that is one of the many reasons why no-one takes the paranormal seriously. If there weren't so many hoaxers out there, then maybe more people would be more likely to accept at least some paranormal phenomenon. Or at least they wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it.

Saturn, I can only agree with you. Also we see too many threads started to debunk or verify vids or pics of UFOs or anything supernatural, only after 8 or 10 pages to run out in the sand without any clear conclusion.

This one was easily debunked and then closed. If anyone wants to play a April Fool's prank with ATS'ers, they better put it up on the day and not 3 days before.
