www.newscientist.com...

It appears as thought IBM is back in the #1 spot with the fastest processor speed!!!

"This system will consist of 130,000 individual processors and will run at 360 teraflops, meaning it will be capable of 360 trillion "floating point" operations per second."........ "This machine will include 50 terabytes of memory and two petabytes of storage space. It will be used for nuclear weapons simulations."

Good lord! that's a SUPER computer alright. 130,000 CPUs and 50 TERABYTES OF MEMORY!!!! mind boggling.... and to think the most powerful desktops usually have 1 or 2 CPUs and about 128/512 megabytes of MEMORY
