TOKYO -- Japan launched its latest satellite Saturday, giving Tokyo the ability to spy on any location in the world each day.
The H-2A rocket carrying the satellite lifted off from the base in southern Kagoshima Prefecture at 1:41 p.m. (0441 GMT), said a spokeswoman for the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
