Terror attacks in Bangkok possible, says defense chief

BANGKOK, Thailand -- Thailand's defense minister warned Thursday that Muslim insurgents from the country's south may expand their terror attacks to the Thai capital.

Gen. Boonrawd Somtat said the insurgents were infiltrating universities in Bangkok, which could be used as launch pads for such attacks.
