Good bands from your country that other might not know.

Turn people on to good music that they might not know. With the Internet music is readily available but some may not know bands that are big in your country. Share them here.

Canada:

3 Days Grace, it's rock, period.
The Trewes, lighter rock, pretty good though.
Billy Talent, imagine Aerosmith meets Poe.
Sloan, they can do it all. Beatles-like to almost metal.
Theory of a Dead Man, this is Nickleback, only good. Much more acoustic.

New band of the year imo, from OZ, Wolfmother. The reincarnation of Deep Purple.

This is one of my best mates bands, TIDAL. Their from Adelaide in South Australia and they kick#ss, they use UV light in their live set but have been talking about doing away with it as they think it comes across as a bit too gimmicky. Gotta love their version of the Teddy Bears Picnic. Listen to it loud.

Wolfmother are sick,
Wolf and Cub great rock,

Double Dragon, excellent local Metal band,
Diatribe another good local Metal band,
Sunk Loto from Brisbane, Metal,
Karnivool from Perth, hard to define, definate Metal influences but more progressive,

I'm really into Modest Mouse right now, dont know if they are really popular overseas yet, though they are pretty big in the states. They got some great songs, 3rd Planet, The World at Large, Truckers Atlas are some of my favs. Check em out.

Super Furry Animals. Best Welsh band that loads of people not from Wales haven't heard of. I'm sure most of you have heard of The Manic Street Preachers, but the Super Furries are definately up there with them in terms of quality music in my onions opinion.

Umphrey's McGee
An extremely tight high energy jam-rock band. In a lot of ways they remind me of Zappa.

Another real good jam band.

Austin Lounge Lizards
Alternative bluegrass-style music with good pickin' and perfect harmonies, liberally soaked with clever humor.

I have no idea if these bands are well-known internationally, but they should be.
