So we've all (I assume) have read A Winkle in Time where they travel to alternate dimensions to chase their father down, etc. So has the government actually done any type of research in trying to transport to alternate dimensions? Has anything turned out a lot like 'Event Horizon'?

I think cross-dimentional travel (wtf) is probably still quite a ways out of reach of the government. I'm not sure how useful it would be anyway. I doubt it would really be all that easy to pop into a parallel earth, steal thier resources, and just pop back. Even the asteroid belt is easier than that.

I hope NOT!
