One more happily indulged guilty pleasure -

www.youtube.com...

Delerium
- Flowers Become Screens

Soaks my skin - through to the bone
Pain is nothing that a downpour won´t erase
Rain - you can´t hold on to it
A treasure you cannot frame
Rain - somehow I´m drawn to it
I feel engaged, one and the same
When heavens dressing beads off my face
The pain is nothing that a downpour won´t erase

I try not to be ashamed of music that I like. My top three favorite bands are quite different from one another...QOTSA, The Exploited and The Animals.

However I live in a house full of snobby metal heads and things such as hip hop, mainstream rock and pop of any kind are completly not tolerated, so any songs of those nature I kinda have to keep to myself. Although I know they have their guilty pleasures too. I heard my boyfriend listening to "What's New Pussycat" by Tom Jones...some metal head huh.

Hypocrites!

But i find myself in love with johnny cash ,im not a fan of country by far to as interpid said...he is just to damn good ,I find myself listening to some dance/trance aswell ,mainly when iam drunk lol i like lisa lashes and Testio ,there dance music is just plain brilliant

There is nothing shameful about liking Johnny Cash. He is one of the most versitile muscisians of all time. Sure most people consider him country but I've talked to punks who consider him a punk (which in theory, he really was) and a lot of metal heads I know love him too.

Thats my confession. I like Neil Diamond.

(I also like Johnny Cash)

Notice the cd pic I use for lack of avatar-if you recognize it, then obviously you realize Neil is not what one would expect to find me listening too, even though I like a variety of music genres.

I like bands from Drowning Pool, Korn, Buckcherry, Green Day to M20, Rob Thomas, 3DD, Nickleback, Marroon5 as well as Dispatch, Gov't Mule, Widespread Panic, plus classic rock from 60's-80's (sans the really pop crap) but with a sprinkle of Nirvana and Pearl Jam grunge. Ah yes...

and then there is Neil Diamond. :shk: go figure.

I like Jimmy Buffet too....

Oh and Kenny Loggins!
(only his lullabye cd for kids "Return to Pooh Corner" though)

Ok, I must stop confessing now!

johnny cash is in no way, shape, or form a guilty pleasure !!!!

I'm an 80's child, grew up listening to judas priest, motley crue, RATT, van halen, AC/DC
then got into hendrix, floyd, zeppelin, Santana, The Who, Beatles, Queen
then go into Guns n roses, metallica, foo fighters, U2, Pearl Jam
I dig jim croce, and can be found listening to light classical

I have 1500 songs in my ipod.

my guilty pleasures are;
kelly clarkson - walk away
echo and the bunnymen - lips like sugar
adam ant - stand and deliver
sting - fragile

and my number 1 shame

duran duran - come undone

I like all types of stuff. Hard core, Hip Hop, and many other things.

They Might Be Giants
There I said it, I like They Might Be Giants.

Nerd

they're a riot. they put out a couple of kids cds and, seeing as I was into them in high school, I made a cd of their stuff, mixed with the kids music for my daughter. they played a launch party so I took my daughter. it was kids music but the crowd was a mix of kids and their parents and then there were the nose pierced fans. it was hysterical to see the kids so into the music and so frightened by some of the fans. they ended up playing for over an hour. it was awesome.

so yeah, I'm a closet fan as well.

aw, man!

The title of this thread had misled my misguided mind.

I was expecting to hear raunchy and twisted @#$%^&&* stories.

I didn't realise what forum this was in, until after I posted.

Grew up with Yes, Zeppelin, D.Purple, Tull,
early Genesis(with Gabriel),Santana, SuperTramp,
Queen(first 2 albums),etc.

Would you believe-
Soundtrack to My Fair Lady, and West Side Story!

(maybe something to do with limited album selection as a toddler?)

I've been known to crank a few Neil Diamond songs, too, 2l82sk8.

Probably from too much AM radio, in Mom's '68 Ford Torino station- wagon.

I'm a rock guy (Nirvana / Slipknot / System of a Down / Soundgarden / Alice In Chains etc) but mine would be pop from Madonna and Kylie Minogue, and hip hop from Trick Daddy and Raekwon & Ghostface. But I do try and get into most kinds of music.

I'm into stuff that ranges from 80s rock (aslong as it's good!) to modern day black metal. But my guilty pleasure would be Micheal Jackson, that guy is a legend!

*leaves the thread moon-walk style*

Okay, i'm 18 years old but I have passion for the 90's rock, grunge era..
You know, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, The Gits, PerlJam, STP.. And heavier bands, Marilyn Manson, Pantera, Metallica, Overkill, Things of that sort.. Hell, I even listen to Jhonny Cash.. Some Beatles, Pinkfloyd, John Lennon..

But I would say my main guilty pleasure, music wise..

Beethoven.. Fur Elise, Moonlight Sonata.. 9th'.. :|

I know it's pretty out of place, considering the music I listen to..
When people hear me listening to it, they're like...What the hell??

I don't care, I love it.. It's very relaxing at times..
